Speaking of Barry Zito...

Reports are surfacing in the San Jose Mercury News that the Giants may move their worst starter, Barry Zito, to the bullpen. Zito has 6 years and 112.5 MILLION DOLLARS left in his deal! He is set to become the most expensive mop up reliever of all time.

Pat Misch would take Zito's spot in the rotation. Click his name to see his stats... not impressive, but he can't be any worse than the trash pile he'd be replacing, right?

My advice to San Francisco to maximize their return on a horrible investment? Let Zito throw batting practice before games. They'd use him almost every day, and he's apparently very good at it. You're welcome, Giants.

In other Bad Baseball News from Monday night...
Fairly quiet, Monday night. Had some ugly pitching in Anaheim; Jon Garland allowed 7runs on 10 hits over 6 innings of work in his start against the Oakland A's, though his own teammate Chris Bootcheck outdid him by allowing 7 runs on 6 hits and 3 walks in just two-thirds of an innings.

Boo Zito. Such a waste of money and basically a guarantee lost when he starts. So frustrating! Not so frustrating that I'll become an NY fan though.....
