A look ahead - week of 4/14/08

We're a couple weeks in, now, and things are still a bit out of whack. In the American league the O's, White Sox and A's all lead their divisions, while Detroit sits at the bottom of the AL Central with a 2-10 record. In the National League, the Florida Marlins find themselves at the top of the East division as the only team with a winning record. It's early, all of this obviously will change.

This week's can't miss game (for fans of Bad Baseball, at least) takes us to Florida for the same match up as last week, with only the switch in location.

On Friday night the Nationals will send John Lannan (0-2, 6.75 ERA) to the mound against the Marlin's Andrew Miller (0-2, 11.37 ERA), who they acquired from the Tigers this offseason as part of the Dontrelle Willis/Miguel Cabrera deal. He's a solid prospect who doesn't figure to spend much of his career as a featured pitcher on Bad Baseball - but as long as he's young, inexperienced and prone to blow ups, we'll be watching.
